BMGM is committed to teamwork with the client from design to building completion. The client is a contributing member of the team as well as the consulting engineers that have been selected for the project. The team expands when a contractor is brought on board. Effective teamwork requires good communication skills, open exchange of ideas and honest discussion of project issues between all members. BMGM will be available as needed to address any concern during design or construction. We will open and encourage dialogue and responsive interaction between all parties and the team of consultants.

We have assisted clients with program development, bidding and construction observation services and have assisted owners with systemic upgrades of fire alarm, intercom and sprinkler systems by coordinating the design process with the engineering firms, and providing support in bidding and construction observation services.

BMGM has a LEED AP staff member and a principal who have been involved with a LEED project that was reviewed for certification and received a GOLD rating. BMGM has been recycling paper, plastic and aluminum in the office for many years. We believe good design inherently incorporates many of the goals of Green Building. BMGM is ready to assist any client to achieve any level of green that they desire. BMGM is one of the founding committee members of the local Western MD Branch of MD Chapter of USGBC. BMGM is a general practice firm and is generally defined as a small to midsize design firm with an office staff of 9 to 10 during the past few years.

Our portfolio includes projects of various types, size and cost. We have completed projects for commercial, institutional, governmental, ecclesiastical and residential of new construction as well as renovation and addition work. The firm has completed feasibility studies, conceptual planning and programming, systems upgrades, and roof replacements. Typical projects range between 50 thousand to 15 million dollars in construction costs. We address ADA issues in renovation projects and all new facilities are designed to be ADA compliant. Our experience also includes phasing of projects due to the owner occupying and using the facility during expansion and renovation. BMGM has also provided cost evaluations on projects to allow design decisions to be made based on probable cost considerations, life of material and potential benefit to the project.
